About the Role
Join our Ocala Operations team as a Manufacturing Engineer, focusing on high-mix, high-volume circuit card, wiring harness, and electro-assembly production. In this dynamic environment, you will play a pivotal role in driving process stability, enhancing productivity, and ensuring top-tier product quality across multi-shift facilities. This position operates on 2nd shift hours (4:00 pm - 2:30 am), offering hands-on opportunities for growth and impact.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for wiring harness production.
- Lead root cause investigations, drive corrective actions, and reduce defects and rework.
- Collaborate with operations and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery and compliance.
- Evaluate equipment performance; recommend upgrades or automation enhancements.
- Document and standardize work instructions, process parameters, and best practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- Engineering degree with 5+ years' cable and harness manufacturing experience per IPC-A-620 standards, or 10+ years' relevant experience without a degree.
- Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience with benchtop cable and harness equipment (wire strippers, Cirris testers, automatic crimpers, F crimp processing).
- Demonstrated expertise in process improvement and troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with advanced automation integration.
- Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
- Prior leadership or mentorship in a manufacturing environment.
