The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
LinkedIn's Sales Solutions team is dedicated to improving the world of sales and business development with Sales Navigator, our flagship product that connects and builds mutually beneficial relationships between buyers and sellers.
As an Account Director in Key Accounts, you will work within a sales pod to expand the footprint of Sales Navigator and related offerings with some of our largest and most strategic growth customers. To do this, you will consult and educate prospective buyers on the benefits and value of these platforms helping your customers deliver more effective go to market strategies and results.
You will work to establish yourself and the broader LinkedIn team as a trusted advisor to these firms, sharing insights, building business cases, developing deep relationships, and inspiring your clients to embrace new challenges and opportunities for growth. You will also work directly with multiple parts of LinkedIn's business including Sales leadership, Customer Success, Marketing, and Insights/Analytics.
Responsibilities:
  • Lean about LinkedIn's platform, products and relevant systems that will be used in role
  • Deeply understand the sectors you are covering including how these companies work, how they are organized and make decisions, market trends, challenges and opportunities
  • Tailor and effectively communicate the value proposition of LinkedIn offerings to these companies and demonstrate how they can be more successful by working with LinkedIn
  • Multi-thread to new contacts, business units, and stakeholders to uncover new pockets to expand LinkedIn's footprint and pitch, design, and implement successful pilots and growth programs
  • Participate in foundational territory and account planning motions with your sales pod and leaders
  • Maintain a pipeline of active pursuits for immediate and future quarters
  • Listen to the needs of the market and educate the product and marketing team
  • Work within a small account team to help manage cross-functional resources to support customer requests
  • Deliver, and preferably exceed, against quarterly, half and annual revenue targets

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of relevant sales experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • BA/BS Degree or MBA degree in a related field e.g., Economics, Business Management
  • Experience in roles that require quality and complex analysis and communication e.g., management consulting
  • Experience in relationship management engaging with C-level users, senior Partners and Managing Directors
  • Experience with business development across various geographies
  • Proven history of overachieving quota and driving results in a high-growth company environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, analytical and forecasting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to find, manage and close high-level business sales
  • Ability to use competitive selling to position company products against direct and indirect competitors
  • Ability to gather and use data to inform decision making and persuade others
  • Ability to assess business opportunities, read prospective buyers and develop compelling strategies

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The pay range for this role is $157,000 - $240,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
