    Job description

    Company Description
LinkedIn is the world's largest professional network, built to create economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce. Our products help people make powerful connections, discover exciting opportunities, build necessary skills, and gain valuable insights every day. We're also committed to providing transformational opportunities for our own employees by investing in their growth. We aspire to create a culture that's built on trust, care, inclusion, and fun - where everyone can succeed.
    Job Description
This role will be based in Sunnyvale, San Francisco or Mountain View.
At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
The Program Manager is a trusted operator who delivers high-impact programs that enable scale and drive growth. Within LinkedIn's Finance Programs Office, this role plays a central part in translating strategy into action, creating clarity, aligning stakeholders, and accelerating execution across Finance and the broader company to advance key priorities.
As an individual contributor, you will own end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of complex, cross-functional programs. Serving as an objective "hub of the wheel," you will mobilize early-stage programs, remove blockers, and land complex change with clear measurement and outcomes. You will also coach and mentor fellow project managers and champion the best practices that raise the bar for program management across the team.
We're seeking a systems thinker who thrives in ambiguity, brings cross-functional rigor, and builds strong, trust-based relationships. The ideal candidate pairs deep program management experience with high agency, moving with clarity, executing with speed, and delivering durable impact at scale.
    Key Responsibilities
    Program planning
    • Build comprehensive program plans, including the underlying project plans that support the overarching program, identifying dependencies and the resources required
    • Proactively identify program and project risks and drive resolution with appropriate impact to the plan
    • Provide strategic roadmaps for multi-generational projects and programs

    Execution & delivery
    • Develop project charters with clear success metrics
    • Facilitate decision-making, alignment, and resource asks; resolve big-impact issues and escalate to sponsors and key stakeholders where appropriate
    • Ensure the deliverables of the overall program are achieved, conducting review discussions with all supporting project teams
    • Manage up to three concurrent enterprise-level, cross-functional programs
    • Leverage AI-enabled tools and insights to optimize project planning, execution, resource management, and program delivery.

    Communication & stakeholder management
    • Build strategic relationships that drive long-term success
    • Interpret and filter information into actionable formats for program, project, and team consumption
    • Keep all program communications concise, clear, and client-ready; present overview and status to executive levels and recommend structural changes that impact multiple teams
    • Provide clarity on the business-impacting benefits and tradeoffs of the program to executive audiences

    Process excellence & mentorship
    • Own the gathering and documentation of requirements for complex projects and programs
    • Coach and mentor project managers, sharing and advocating best-practice approaches and structures for program management
    • Apply a solid understanding of change-management principles to guide complex programs through change

    Qualifications
    Basic Qualifications
    • 8+ years of relevant experience in program/project management, business operations, or strategy
    • BA/BS or equivalent experience

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Demonstrated ability to execute enterprise-level, cross-functional programs, managing up to three concurrently
    • Exceptional program management skills: manage multiple complex programs, prioritize effectively, and maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-changing environment
    • Track record of building comprehensive program plans and strategic, multi-generational roadmaps
    • Solid understanding of and experience working through complex change-management programs
    • Strong communicator who distills complexity into clear narratives and can present overview and status to executive levels
    • Relationship builder who collaborates across levels and functions to move work forward
    • Experience coaching and mentoring project managers
    • AI-user and accelerator who leverages AI and technology to simplify and scale output
    • Thrives in ambiguity, embraces change, and brings a high-ownership mindset

    Suggested Skills
    • Strategic, analytical problem-solving to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity
    • End-to-end program management, including planning, governance, and execution
    • Cross-functional collaboration to align partners and deliver outcomes at scale
    • Financial and operational acumen to assess tradeoffs and measure impact
    • Executive communication to synthesize insights and influence decisions
    • Stakeholder management to build trust, resolve conflict, and remove blockers
    • Change management
