Job Description
Our team, UX Engineering, is passionate about every pixel. At the heart of our work is our commitment to delivering a user experience that is accessible, consistent, high-performing, and delightful. We are creating the framework for the next generation of consumer and enterprise applications at LinkedIn.
As a Sr Software Engineer on iOS, you will design and develop core user experience components, capabilities, and frameworks, establish the underlying infrastructure, collaborate with design systems and product engineering teams, and provide architectural guidance. Your role will enable these teams to experiment and build their features with high quality and velocity.
At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
This role is based in Mountain View, CA.
Responsibilities
  • You will design and execute user-facing features for the native LinkedIn app on iOS devices by leveraging mobile operating system frameworks for multi-threading, persisting data, and managing user experience and graphics across multiple screen sizes.
  • You will use the latest cutting edge technologies and libraries suggested by Apple for building responsive native apps for iOS.
  • You will build scalable native mobile apps using LinkedIn's internal libraries.
  • You will produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked in regularly for continuous integration.
  • You will provide technical leadership, driving best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross-functional, and company-wide critical programs.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • 2+ years of industry experience
  • 2+ years programming experience in languages such as Objective-C, UIKit, Swift, Java, Kotlin

Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline

The pay range for this role is $125,000 to $206,000 . Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
