General Information/Job Summary

Work within the I/E & Control Systems Department. Work on control systems engineering and designs for large industrial projects in midstream gas processing, petroleum refining, petrochemical, and upstream oil & gas industries.

Responsibilities/Competencies

  • Act as a control systems engineer for selected projects.
  • 10% - Interact with other engineering disciplines, engineering and construction project managers, and clients
  • 5% - Provide input to the initial project schedule and support the regular maintenance of project schedules for designated projects.
  • 20% - Work process quality review and drawing approval in the capacity of a lead engineer.
  • 40% - Responsible for PLC/DCS Programming and HMI configuration.
  • 25% - Perform Software Factory Acceptance Tests and Hardware Acceptance Tests for the plant control system.
  • Provide man hour and equipment estimates for project proposals.
  • Able to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work with others.

Requirements

  • BS. in Electrical Engineering or B.S. in Engineering with equivalent I/E & control systems experience required.
  • 5+ years' experience required, 10+ years preferred.
  • Must have Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLCs and Wonderware HMI development experience.
  • Delta V Programming experience is a plus.
  • Industrial networking experience is a plus.
  • Should be a self-learner and willing to go extra mile to accomplish tasks.
  • EIT licensure required or the ability to get licensed after joining the company.
  • Must have trouble shooting skills.
  • Must have commissioning and start-up experience.
  • Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Physical Requirements
