The Opportunity

KBR isseekinghighly motivated and talented students to join our Defense & Intel Internship Program. This internship offers hands-on experience, professional development, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that support national security and advanced technology initiatives.

Interns will work alongside experienced professionals on real-world assignments, gaining exposure to technical and operational challenges while building valuable skills and industry knowledge. Whether your interests are in engineering, software, cyber, data analytics, science, business, or mission operations, KBR provides an environment where you can learn, contribute, and grow.

What You'll Do

As a KBR Defense & Intel Intern, you may have opportunities to:

  • Support engineering, technology, cybersecurity, intelligence, operations,logistics, science, business, or program management activities.

  • Assistwith research, analysis, design, development, testing, integration, or process improvement efforts.

  • Contribute to projects that address real-world customer challenges and mission requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and deliver project objectives.

  • Analyze data, prepare reports, and communicate findings to project teams and leadership.

  • Participate in technical reviews, team meetings, and professional development activities.

  • Gain exposure to industry tools, technologies, and best practices relevant to your area of study.

  • Present project outcomes and recommendations to stakeholders at the conclusion of the internship.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.

  • Rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Master's, or PhD student.

  • Pursuing a degree in a relevant field, including but not limited to:

Security Requirements

Some internship opportunities may require the ability to obtain andmaintaina U.S. Government security clearance. Eligibility requirements and clearance levels will vary based on the specific position, customer, and work location.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time internship opportunities are available during the summer.

  • Part-time opportunities may be available during the academic year based on businessneedand location.

Compensation

  • $18 - $35 / hour

  • The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's location, degree type and area of study, and year in school.
