Hirewell has been retained by a privately held, vertically integrated real estate development firm to find a Director of Development, Retail to sit in Houston, TX. The company specializes in development, construction, property management and brokerage and they have a geography focus across all major TX/FL markets. The Development Director will be primarily responsible for full-cycle development across retail projects in the single-tenant, build-to-suit space. You will report directly to the Managing Partner and be a key contributor to the company's overall development pipeline growth!

Primary Responsibilities:

• Proactively driving the site search process through tenant outreach and brokerage relationships.
• Preparing and presenting site packages and negotiating LOIs.
• Underwriting & deal structuring, contract & legal negotiation and site due diligence and feasibility.
• Leading and driving the entitlement process and the designing and planning phases of the development.
• Full construction delivery.
• Turnover, stabilization and disposition of the development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate or Finance
• 7+ years in commercial real estate development, with direct cradle-to-grave ownership experience
• You must have working knowledge and experience utilizing AI
