Job description

Director of Human Resources

Casper, WY (Hybrid)

A growing technology company is looking for a Director of Human Resources to serve as its senior HR leader and a member of the management team. This is a hands-on, build-and-scale role for someone who wants to partner directly with the CEO and leadership team as the company moves from technology development into broader commercialization. A strong fit for an HR leader who has built infrastructure from the ground up in a growing organization.

Highlights

  • Base salary $115K-$140K plus bonus
  • Hybrid schedule in Casper, WY
  • Direct strategic partnership with the CEO and management team
  • True ownership of HR strategy, not just program administration
  • Opportunity to build HR systems and infrastructure from an early stage
  • Comprehensive benefits including 401(k) match, full insurance coverage, and PTO

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and management team on workforce planning, organizational design, and culture
  • Lead workforce and organizational development planning, including headcount planning, succession planning, and talent gap identification
  • Own employee relations end to end, including coaching, investigations, performance issues, and terminations
  • Establish a practical performance management process and build manager capability around feedback and accountability
  • Own compensation and benefits, including benchmarking, salary structures, and annual compensation reviews
  • Build out HR systems, analytics, and reporting, including HRIS implementation and key HR metrics
  • Drive talent retention and succession planning, with particular focus on institutional knowledge concentration
  • Own full-cycle recruitment and onboarding
  • Design and maintain HR compliance programs across applicable jurisdictions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally in an industrial, engineering, manufacturing, or technology organization experiencing rapid growth
  • Demonstrated experience building or scaling HR infrastructure within a growing organization
  • Strong employee relations background, including investigations and performance management
  • Working knowledge of compensation, benefits, HRIS, and HR analytics
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred, not required

A strong opportunity for an HR leader who wants true ownership of the function and the chance to shape it from an early stage of growth.
