Sr Data Architect - GT07BE

The Hartford's Enterprise Data Office (EDO) goal is to achieve greater business value through the use of data by simplifying the architecture, standardizing process and tools and building a data culture across the enterprise. Data Strategy & Architecture (DSA) Practice within the Chief data office is looking for a Senior Data Architect.

This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, Hartford, CT or Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).


Responsibilities include:

  • Develops data architecture plans and drives the plans to fruition in collaboration with Data Owners and Solution Architects, Technology Leads & Data modelers
  • Defines and enforces data architecture standards, procedures, metrics, and policies to ensure consistency and adherence processes and ensure that is operational
  • Translate advanced business analytics problems into technical and data design approaches that yield actionable recommendations, across multiple, diverse domains; Creates, maintains, and communicates current and target state data architecture for data domains within an assigned subject area
  • Guides application development teams in the data design of complex solutions and ensures that teams are in alignment with the data architecture principles, standards, strategies, and target states.
  • Facilitates the transition from high level design and supports the project lifecycle with input from management where needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8-10 +years of relevant professional experience
  • Robust Data Architecture skills - sets direction for and possesses a deep understanding of data architecture patterns which integrate with industry trends.
  • Experience in data management, data warehousing, data modeling, and business intelligence, and/or master data management, metadata management concepts and ETL frameworks.
  • Experience with reporting /data visualization tools.
  • Experience in Agile development processes.
  • Experience with large-scale data methods and technology.
  • Experience with Snowflake and IDMC.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud based data storage and processing technologies
  • Strong experience with SQL Server and /or Oracle or any other database platforms.
  • Portfolio delivery experience: engages in the full lifecycle experience, from planning to delivery and management of the solution lifecycle to produce solution designs that are viable and can be successfully constructed, implemented, operated and managed.
  • Ability to independently learn new technologies and data related approaches.
  • Effective writing and presentation skills.

Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$120,000 - $180,000
