Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Reporting Accountant to join our team. Under direct supervision, this role is responsible for analyzing revenue data and supporting the preparation of accrual and re-accrual entries, while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of revenue accounting, production data, and general accounting principles.
Job Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to:
  • Analyze monthly revenue data, including production volumes and pricing, to support accrual and re-accrual processes
  • Prepare accruals, journal entries, and perform month-end close activities
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and support account reconciliation processes
  • Meet all revenue reporting deadlines in a timely manner
  • Assist other members of the Revenue Reporting team, as needed
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (BBA or BS) in Accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., XLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables)
  • Foundational knowledge of revenue accounting, production, and general accounting principles

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1+) year of accounting experience, preferably in oil and gas
  • Demonstrated interest in process improvements and efficiency enhancements
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work assignments
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to learn new systems and concepts quickly
