Job Profile Summary:

The Senior Completions Engineer, working under general supervision, is responsible for planning and documentation of moderately complex activities such as new well completions, recompletions, and other well-related operations. The role implements quality assurance measures to verify the integrity and effectiveness of completion procedures, conducting inspections and audits as required. The role participates in post-job reviews to identify areas for improvement in completion processes, contributing to the continuous improvement culture within the organization. The role exercises the authority to halt operations in the presence of unsafe conditions or suspected hazards, prioritizing the well-being of personnel and environmental protection.

Job Description:

Implements quality assurance measures to verify the integrity and effectiveness of completion and recompletion procedures, conducting inspections and audits as required.

Builds technical recommendations and provides business case to leadership in a concise, constructive, knowledgeable format that includes detailed implications for risk, business priorities, and value, integrates multi-discipline knowledge in technical recommendations, and may communicate technical recommendations to leadership.

Participates in post-job reviews to identify areas for improvement in completion and recompletion processes, contributing to the continuous improvement culture within the organization.

Engages with technical teams to develop comprehensive completion and recompletion plans, ensuring alignment with project objectives and identifying necessary adjustments.

Maintains meticulous records of daily operations and expenditures, including the creation and review of wellbore schematics, as well as the generation of graphs and spreadsheets to facilitate data analysis and reporting.

Conducts technical analyses and evaluations of completion and recompletion operations, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency enhancement.

Collaborates closely with the Completions Foreman and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Department to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, proactively addressing any compliance concerns.

Exercises the authority to halt operations in the presence of unsafe conditions or suspected hazards, prioritizing the well-being of personnel and environmental protection.

Promotes a culture of safety within the workplace, championing EHS initiatives to enhance awareness and mitigate risks associated with well work operations.

Contributes substantially to complex projects, leads concurrent efforts, mentors others, and influences safety culture, emphasizing EHS priorities and sound technical judgment.

Organizes and completes multiple concurrent projects, prioritizes deadlines, and communicates effectively, demonstrating autonomy in decision-making and providing strategic technical recommendations to leadership.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil) or any other related discipline and/or commensurate work experience is required.


Experience:
5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in areas such as Well Completion, Well Operations, or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.


Certifications:
SPE's Petroleum Engineering Certification(preferred)
