Job Profile Summary:
As a Control Room Operator, you will support safe, reliable, and efficient operations across Production, Midstream, Compression, and Water, reporting to a Supervisor. In this role, you'll execute routine assignments using established procedures and technical guidance while building your industry knowledge and operational expertise, performing routine analysis and optimization of production wells and facilities, monitoring well performance through a systematic approach, and using production data analysis tools to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in underperforming assets - playing a key part in optimizing production operations, maximizing asset value, and driving operational efficiency within E&P operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensures safe, reliable, efficient oversight of production, pipeline, and water facilities in the field in accordance with company policies, operational plans, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitors real-time operating conditions and live data from production facilities, pipelines, and compressor stations through SCADA and other operational systems; evaluates alarms and abnormal conditions, notifies lease operators of variances, provides pertinent operational data as needed, and makes timely operational decisions to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
• Responds to and manages critical alarms and abnormal operating conditions, ensuring appropriate actions are taken and documented in accordance with operating procedures.
• Initiates and manages notifications, incident communications, and response documentation while serving as a central point of communication during operational incidents and emergency situations.
• Applies sound judgment to prioritize operational issues in real time, balancing safety and production objectives when determining appropriate actions.
• Interacts with other pipeline companies, regional management, and marketing personnel to communicate operating conditions and achieve targeted gas volume deliveries.
• Participates in training, field visits, and knowledge-sharing activities to develop operational understanding of company assets, systems, and procedures while building effective working relationships.
• Collaborates with SCADA, IT, and automation/measurement technicians to resolve data, connectivity, and measurement issues.
• Assists with reviewing alarm notifications and reports, validating alarm functionality following changes, and collaborating with operations personnel,
vendors, and engineers to address underperforming wells and compression assets.
• Prioritizes, organizes, and completes basic assignments on time with some direction, frequently seeking guidance from experienced peers when faced with routine problems.
• Demonstrates a general working knowledge of industry practices, evaluates, and recommends solutions to technical problems, and organizes workload consistently and efficiently.

Education:
• High School diploma required. Associates/Bachelor's degree in related field a plus but not required.

• 0-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in E&P Operations specializing in areas such as Production, Compression, Completions/ Workover Processes, and Plunger Lift Operations. Industry experience is preferred.
