JOB SUMMARY Seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join a healthcare team. This role requires strong technical expertise in venipuncture, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage challenging draws independently. The Phlebotomist will play a critical role in patient care by ensuring accurate specimen collection and maintaining a professional, compassionate approach. Key Responsibilities • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection with precision and care. • Handle difficult draws (“hard sticks”) confidently and escalate issues when necessary. • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed. • Maintain accurate records and labeling of specimens. • Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures. • Collaborate with healthcare staff to support patient care and laboratory operations. • Adapt to changing schedules and patient needs with flexibility. Required Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent. • Certification in phlebotomy (CPT or equivalent). • Proven phlebotomy skills, including independent specimen collection. • Strong customer service and communication abilities. • Ability to manage escalations professionally. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in hospital or clinical laboratory settings. • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Certifications • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. Education: High School Certification: Certified Phlebotomy Technician
