About the Role

As a Consulting Manager, Healthcare Product Owner , you will make an impact by defining and executing product strategies that drive healthcare business outcomes and technology transformation. You will partner closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and leadership to deliver innovative healthcare solutions while ensuring alignment with organizational goals. You will be a valued member of the Cognizant Consulting team and work collaboratively with clients, product stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional delivery teams.

In This Role, You Will:
  • Define, communicate, and execute a product roadmap aligned to business objectives and healthcare transformation priorities.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational processes, customer needs, and product opportunities, translating them into actionable requirements.
  • Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog in Rally, ensuring business value, quantifiable benefits, and clear acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, and delivery teams to ensure successful execution of roadmap commitments and product releases.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business and technology teams, providing product direction, project status updates, risk management, and delivery progress to senior leadership.
  • Leverage technical knowledge to understand solution design, interface specifications, integration requirements, and FHIR-based healthcare interoperability initiatives.

What You Must Have to Be Considered
  • Bachelor's degree and equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of Product Ownership, Product Management, or Business Analysis experience within Agile environments.
  • Healthcare industry experience with a strong understanding of healthcare business processes, payer, provider, or healthcare interoperability ecosystems.
  • Hands-on experience with HL7 FHIR standards, healthcare data integration, and API-based healthcare platforms.
  • Experience managing product backlogs, user stories, sprint planning, prioritization, and Agile delivery frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), system integrations, and technical solution delivery.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships across business and technology organizations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
These Will Help You Succeed
  • Experience leading healthcare implementation or digital transformation programs.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data exchange standards, interoperability platforms, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with Rally, Jira, or similar Agile planning tools.
  • Ability to navigate organizational change and influence decision‑making across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), or Agile certifications.
  • Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments.

Compensation

$90,000-$129,500

This position is eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans
