Job description

Job Summary

The Inventory Specialist II will oversee daily inventory operations to ensureaccuratetracking, efficient flow, and proper management of all materials within the facility. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing processes like awaiting parts,put-aways, pick tickets, cycle counts, running parts, and transferring inventory to other facilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled inmaintainingorganized and precise inventory records.


What You Will Do

  • Monitor and manage incoming parts, ensuring they are promptly checked, labeled, and staged for use.

  • Collaborate with procurement teams to resolve delays or discrepancies.

  • Direct the efficient andaccuratestorage of incoming inventory in designated locations.

  • Ensure proper organization tofacilitatequick andaccurateretrieval.

  • Oversee the generation, accuracy, and fulfillment of pick tickets for production or shipping. Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensuretimelyorder picking and staging.

  • Schedule and execute regular cycle count tomaintainaccurateinventory records. Investigate and resolve variances between physical counts and system records.

  • Ensure parts needed for production or maintenance are delivered promptly to theappropriate areas.

  • Coordinate with production teams toanticipateand fulfill part needs.

  • Oversee the transfer of inventory between facilities, ensuring proper documentation and tracking.

  • Coordinate withlogisticsteams to guarantee safe andtimelytransfers.


What We Expect of You

  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards.

  • Proven experience in inventory management or a related role.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., Foxfire or similar software).

  • Ability to analyze and solve inventory discrepancies.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work independently and make decisions based on data and guidelines.

  • Shipments: Unload incoming shipments from trucks or containers using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.

  • Inspect incoming shipments for damage, defects, or discrepancies. Report any issues to the supervisor or relevant department.

  • Verify the accuracy of shipment contents by comparing packing lists or purchase orders with actual items received. Ensure quantities and item descriptions match the documentation.

  • Complete all necessary paperwork for receiving shipments, including logging items into the system, filing packing slips, and updating records.

  • Assist with organizing and storing received items in the appropriate locations within the warehouse or storage facility.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a production-focused environment

  • Demonstrated ability tolift upto 50 lbs. Stand, bend, lift, walk and carry products in any combination for up to 8 hours at a time.

  • History of balancing competing priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.

  • Comfort working in a warehouse environment which includes changes in temperature as the weather fluctuates, noise form conveyors and forklifts.

Pay range: $18 - $22 per hour depending on experience and skill set
