We are looking for a Power Distribution Project Manager to join our Performance Materials team in Wyandotte.

Our team is searching for a Power Distribution Project Manager to work at our Wyandotte, MI site in the Site Services Department to support manufacturing, research & development and business administration activities to assure safe, reliable and productive operations.
In this role, you will assist the Wyandotte Power Distribution Team to assure the safety, productivity and reliability of the electrical distribution system on site by developing and implementing maintenance and site asset plans. You will also lead the planning and implementation of the site electrical utility outage and partner with the City of Wyandotte City Utilities Department to ensure reliable electricity service to the Site.

  • Managing the Wyandotte Power Distribution System: Ensuring the safe and timely repair and maintenance of electrical utilities ensuring site safety, reliability and productivity.
  • Identifying qualifications and selecting power distribution team members. Identifying and providing required training of the team. Providing power distribution expertise to site business units as required.
  • Developing and implementing the Site asset management plan for electrical power distribution. Identifying required assets to meet Site needs. Developing and implementing maintenance plan ensuring asset reliability. Participating in the Site Develop Plan process.
  • Planning the electrical site outage ensuring safety, cost and schedule objectives are achieved. Determine required maintenance activities, plan and schedule maintenance and repair jobs. Engaging vendors for out-sourced maintenance activities. Developing and implementing a safe switching plan to ensure the safe and timely shut-down and recovery of Site electrical power.
  • Acting as a manufacturing representative and construction manager as appropriate for power distribution projects for the Wyandotte Site. Partnering with assigned project managers to ensure safety, functionality, cost and schedule objectives are achieved.
  • Partnering with the City of Wyandotte City Utilities Department to ensure reliable electricity service to the Site. Engaging as appropriate for Site Utility Outage support and unplanned disruptions to Site service.
  • Supporting department safety activities: Champs, Safety Contacts, Barrier Removal, Global Safety Days, Safety Training Topic presenter, excavation permit review and approval, participant in the Site Electrical / Safety Workgroup

If you have...
  • A Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree required, Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment required.
  • Experience in preventative and predictive maintenance programs and project engineering.
  • Ability to work independently under broad goals and objectives with minimal guidance. Also, strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with focus on relationship building and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with SAP PPM, MS Office, and other CMMS preferred.
