As a Territory Account Manager, Temperature Sensing you will LEAD by..........

The Territory Account Manager owns the profitable growth of the assigned accounts and/or territories in North America across the full Temperature Sensing portfolio (the Thermocouple and Optical Pyrometry product lines) with a strong emphasis on industrial applications. 

Accountable for both top-line revenue and contribution margin within the territory. The Territory Account Manager wins new business, expands and retains key accounts, and serves as the primary commercial point of contact (the "face of ECMS") for customers across the territory. Success is measured by profitable revenue growth and margin expansion versus plan, new-business pipeline generation and conversion, margin and price realization, and forecast accuracy

In this role you will 

  • Prospect, qualify, and develop new accounts and new applications across the North America territory.
  • Manage and grow key accounts; build multi-level relationships from plant and engineering to procurement and executive sponsors.
  • Develop and own a territory plan and account plans aligned to revenue and margin targets.
  • Deliver technical and commercial presentations; introduce new products; manage sampling, trials, and evaluations.
  • Quote and negotiate pricing and contracts within approved guardrails; implement price increases.
  • Maintain accurate opportunities, forecasts, and account data in Salesforce.
  • Coordinate with production / planning on order prioritization when capacity is constrained, and with customer service on pricing and order support.
  • Provide application and technical input to product development based on customer needs.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and adjacent opportunities.

Your elements for success......

  • Bachelor's degree in any technical discipline or equivalent professional experience required.
  • 5+ years of B2B technical or industrial sales / account management required(7+ years preferred), with a documented record of growing territory revenue and margin.
  • Demonstrated success in new-business development and in managing complex, multi-stakeholder accounts with long sales cycles required.
  • Strong technical aptitude; able to learn and sell technical products and engage credibly with engineers strongly preferred.
  • CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred) and disciplined pipeline and forecast management.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office based programs
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and executive presence.
  • Willingness to travel ~50% across North America.
