An ETL Informatica developer is in charge of the complete development lifecycle of software that uses Informatica tools to store data. Your duties in this career are to design, configure, develop, and write code and implement programs while monitoring the integrity of the data you manage. Your responsibilities include integrating Informatica systems, working with extract transform load (ETL) systems, conducting business data analysis, writing technical design specifications, providing updates and maintenance, and troubleshooting and testing program issues. As an ETL Informatica developer, you also work with large databases, conduct data quality tests, check data security, and ensure all processes flow smoothly.

To become an ETL Informatica developer, you need a bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, technology, or a similar field. Your classes should focus on coding, programming, database management, data warehousing, and systems development. In addition to your educational qualifications, you also need experience with large databases and Informatica ETL tools. Informatica certifications are also available. Knowledge of programming languages and data platforms is essential.
