Job description

Cloud Identity Engineer

Cloud Identity Engineer (CIE) with in-depth knowledge of Identity technologies and best practices in the Government sector. CIE will work as directed by the Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) to implement technologies and solve complex problems related the City's migration to Office 365. This role has a heavy emphasis on Identity technologies in multi domain environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implement multi-forest connectivity to Azure Active Directory.
  • Develop processes to support the onboarding of City agencies' Active Directory environments.
  • Advising City agencies IT staff on Active Directory Identity issues.
  • Authoring and Implementing PowerShell scripting.
  • Troubleshooting Azure Active Directory.
  • Configuring Active Directory Federation Services.
  • Configuring and integrating Azure Multifactor Authentication.
  • Troubleshooting Single Sign On (SSO).
  • Work with 3rd party vendors, such as the Microsoft FastTrack team to solve complex identity problems.
  • In-depth knowledge of Enterprise O365, Azure AD, Windows 2008/2012 Server, Microsoft Exchange 2007/2013/2016, LDAP and Active Directory.
  • Strong technical experience with Identity management.
  • Experience in integration and migration of Active Directory and MS Exchange Email into cloud environment.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skill.
  • Thorough understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Hypervisor, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture to include: Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions and cloud delivery models.
  • Understand current utilization of O365 licenses and entitlement.
  • Understand AD FS Claim Based Rules.

  • Exchange 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016 Server
  • FIM / Microsoft Identity Manager
  • Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • Multi factor authentication
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Azure AD Connect
  • Azure Active Directory Domain Services
  • Windows 2012 Active Directory Domain Services
  • Experience in Workflows and automation for workflows in FileNet.
  • Multi factor authentication.
  • Single Sign-On (SSO) in large Enterprise environments
  • Ability to multi-task and communicate project milestones and status, executing projects from concept to completion
  • Ability to work well with internal and external teams, collaborate and work well in both unstructured and structured environments
  • Experience working in a large organization and familiar with concepts such as enterprise technology standards and change management practices.
  • Ability to manage own delivery with challenging targets and solve problems with limited guidance.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences at multiple levels of seniority.
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on producing a professional standard of output.
