Job description
Position: Java Microservices Engineer
Location: Woonsocket, RI
Hybrid onsite: 4 days a week (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs)
Duration: 12 contract to start (extension eligible)
Start: ASAP
Interview Process: Onsite Technical interview is required
Only GC & USC & H4-EAD Independent visa candidates can apply
Qualifications:
- Strong expertise and hands-on experience with Java technologies including Core Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL database development and integration.
- Good experience using Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools, including GitHub Actions.
- Working knowledge of large-scale, cloud-based application architecture, infrastructure design, and implementation.
- Experience with Splunk and Grafana is a plus.
- 8+ years of overall development experience
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications.
- Build and enhance cloud-native microservices using Spring Boot and Kafka.
- Develop secure, high-performing APIs and backend services deployed on GCP.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and production support activities.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and engineering best practices.
