The Opportunity:
The Class A Commercial Driver position involves driving a company tractor and trailer to deliver products to our customers. Driver routes will typically be 4-10 stops per route, will require the driver to unload via lift gate with pallet jack, and transport/place palletized products inside the customers' location. Drivers will be expected to use ELD and log all activity and follow all state and federal regulations. Routes are generally <150 miles round trip but could be longer including interstate depending on DC location.
Shift: Mon-Fri, 5am -7am start time with avg 10-hr days, home every night
(anything over 8hrs/day is overtime)
Pay Rate: $29/hr

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
- Safely operates tractor and trailer for the delivery of products and materials.
- Perform vehicle inspections as required.
- Operate mobile apps on the phone for ELD and proof of delivery.
- Provide outstanding customer service during delivery.
- Follow all safety rules for equipment and material handling as required by DOT, OSHA and Company safety program.
- Ensure all orders are delivered in good condition and in full as per the bill of lading.
- Communicate effectively with operations staff about customer concerns.
- Utilize material handling equipment, such hand trucks.
What you need to succeed:
- Current CDL Class A license
- No preventable motor vehicle violations within the last 12 months
- Current medical certification card.
- One or more years' experience driving a tractor trailer.
- General fluency in English required, verbal and written
- Basic computer literacy preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer literacy preferred
