About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Lead Developer with deep .NET and Azure expertise who can deliver immediate impact. This is not a pure architect role. The candidate will actively code, review code, troubleshoot production issues, and design Azure-native solutions when needed.

You will work closely with onshore and offshore teams supporting enterprise-grade applications for a private equity client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain .NET Core / .NET 8+ backend services
  • Own Azure-first architecture decisions for production systems
  • Build and optimize applications using Azure PaaS services
  • Perform hands-on coding (70-80%), code reviews, and mentoring
  • Design secure, scalable, and resilient Azure architectures
  • Work on microservices, APIs, background workers, and integrations
  • Implement Azure-native monitoring, alerts, and logging
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions
  • Coordinate with offshore teams and own delivery quality

Mandatory Technical Skills (Non-Negotiable)

.NET / Backend

  • Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core / C#
  • REST API design, middleware, dependency injection
  • Microservices architecture and service-to-service communication
  • Unit testing, performance tuning, production debugging

Azure (Must be Azure-first, not AWS-only)

  • Azure App Services
  • Azure Functions (HTTP, Queue, Timer triggers)
  • Azure SQL / Cosmos DB
  • Azure Service Bus / Queues
  • Azure API Management
  • Azure Key Vault
  • Azure App Insights + Log Analytics + Azure Monitor
  • Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines

Azure Networking & Security (Critical)

  • Azure VNETs, Subnets, NSGs
  • Private Endpoints / Private Link
  • Application Gateway (WAF)
  • Azure Front Door
  • Traffic Manager (DNS-based routing & failover)
  • Secure access patterns (no public endpoints by default)

Authentication & Authorization

  • Azure AD / OAuth2 / JWT
  • App registrations, scopes, roles, claims
  • Role-based access at application level

Front-End (Good to Have)

  • React + TypeScript experience
  • Comfortable reviewing React code and enforcing standards
    (Daily UI-heavy development not mandatory)
