WHO WE ARE: Tompkins Seneca Tioga BOCES Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs provide students with hands-on, work-based learning experiences that prepare them for careers, post-secondary education, apprenticeships, and industry certification. DUTIES: The CTE Cosmetology teacher delivers New York State-approved cosmetology curriculum while
fostering an inclusive, culturally responsive, and affirming learning environment. This role requires balancing
rigorous technical instruction and licensure preparation with teaching practices that reflect the diversity of
students and the clients they will serve in the workforce.
The teacher prepares students to meet industry standards, develop strong professional habits, and transition
successfully into employment or continued education. The position requires a commitment to continuous
professional learning, reflection, and collaboration to ensure instruction remains relevant, equitable, and aligned
with workforce expectations.

SALARY: $58,000 (2026-2027 Base Salary) plus additional salary credit for graduate credits, Master's
Degree and prior teaching experience. Excellent benefits are available.
