Title: Remote Software Engineer Ruby/Python

OVERVIEW: Remote Software Engineer Ruby/Python
We are searching for a Software Engineer to join a great team with an exciting client. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Remote Software Engineer Ruby/Python
  • Bachelor's Degree, in a related field, preferred or year for year experience
  • 6+ years of Software Engineering
  • 4+ years of Ruby or Python full-time development experience
    • (IF you have 7+ years of Ruby/Python, there is potential for a Sr. Role on this team)
  • Development in one or more of the following: C#, .NET, Python or PHP
  • Experience working with MySQL or Elixir

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Remote Software Engineer Ruby/Python
  • Extensive experience with JavaScript, ES6
  • Experience with ROR or must be willing to learn
  • 2 years of front end-experience using React or similar
  • Experience working with Linux, Ruby on Rails, Docker, Redis
  • Exposure to a continuous integration environment
  • Experience using Kubernetes for deployments
  • Exposure to ecommerce
  • Experience with web applications and RESTful API's
  • Exposure to Agile environments and working with DevOps teams to create software

RESPONSIBILITIES: Remote Software Engineer Ruby/Python
  • Develop creative and innovative solutions for online content and education
  • Provide full application development life cycle support, including specifications, prototypes, development, quality assurance and deployment with assistance from Senior and Lead Application Development
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external users as needed to support channel integration, development and support
  • Support development with appropriate documentation
  • Develops and modifies internal and external facing software
  • Supports development with appropriate documentation
