AWS Java Full Stack Developer with Python Full-time Hybrid – Lafayette, LA | Birmingham, AL | Columbia, SC | Knoxville, TN Position Overview Seeking an AWS Java Full Stack Developer with Python to support development, modernization, and enhancement of enterprise applications within a large-scale financial services environment. This is a hands-on development role requiring strong experience with Java and/or Python, AWS, REST APIs, Spring/Spring Boot, application modernization, and cloud troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications using Java and/or Python.
  • Support application and platform upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs using Spring/Spring Boot.
  • Troubleshoot AWS deployments, configurations, security policies, and application/cloud logs.
  • Support secure and reliable production applications.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and product teams.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum activities.
  • Support testing, CI/CD, application monitoring, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Troubleshoot complex application and AWS issues.
Must-Have Skills
  • 5+ years of software development experience using Java and/or Python.
  • 5+ years of application/platform upgrades, migrations, and modernization experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience including:
    • EC2
    • ECS
    • RDS
    • ALB
    • SSM
    • SQS
    • SNS
    • Lambda
  • 3+ years of REST API development experience.
  • Strong experience with Spring / Spring Boot.
  • Experience troubleshooting AWS deployments and cloud/application issues.
  • Experience with Cucumber or Karate.
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, Jira, IntelliJ, Tomcat/J2EE or comparable tools.
  • Relational database and SQL knowledge.
  • Understanding of unit testing, code coverage, CI/CD, vulnerability remediation, and application monitoring.
  • Agile/Scrum experience.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • AWS Certification.
  • Financial services or highly regulated enterprise experience.
