Project Manager/Scrum Master

We are seeking a motivated Project Manager/Scrum Master. Ideally, we would like candidates to have a technical background. A bonus would be to have cloud experience and back-end experience with network and infrastructure and managing external and internal teams. We are looking for excellent communicators with the passion to drive projects to success. Ideally would like them to have successful experience implementing something across organizational boundaries.

Job Duties:

This role will be held accountable to the following Key Deliverables/Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership and high-level technical or functional guidance for new systems and enhancement of existing systems.
  • Alignment of teams to the Program Increment (PI) Objectives and delivery of value. Guidance for the team relating to utilization of Agile practices and how to best ensure successful self-organization or using Waterfall if deemed necessary.
  • Ability to lead without explicit authority. Partnering with other teams to remove impediments and appropriately track dependencies with internal or external customers.
  • Facilitation of discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution in support of attainment of value without coercion or dictating the work to be completed.
  • Support of and collaboration with the Product Owner (= business owner) with respect to grooming and maintaining the product work backlog.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Engineering, Organizational Management, or related discipline or equivalent work experience and technical training is required. 5 years IT industry experience. 3 years network or infrastructure experience. 1 year managed print or print experience. Minimum of one year of experience in a Scrum, Agile, or project management role within IT. Proficient skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, relentless improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency. Comprehensive knowledge of and experience with Agile process, tools, and techniques, including Program Kanban boards, User Story writing, Burndown techniques, and Retrospective facilitation. Experience with teams delivering value in large systems or many smaller systems. Strong leadership and team building skills. Ability to work well with cross-functional Agile teams and the ability to foster team commitment to tasks. Excellent communication and mentoring skills. Understanding and translating complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand business language.
