• Follow all internal safety procedures and policies to keep a clean and organized work area in our active, fast-paced, team driven environment.
• Perform in-process and final inspections on plastic components.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other tools.
• Report all product nonconformance issues to Quality Leaders and Shift Supervisor.
• Initiate Quality Holds and ensure the notifications are completed accurately and completely.
• Interface with Production Leadership / members to contain nonconforming product as applicable.
• Assist with non-conformance investigations and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Audit molding processes and documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., ISO, FSSC).
• Support first article inspections (FAI) and capability studies.
• Provide quality support during mold changes, startups, and process validations.
• Train operators and inspectors on quality standards and inspection techniques.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of and ability to support key production roles, including line operator, packer, and laboratory functions, ensuring seamless workflow and operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate and timely quality records, including inspection reports and deviation logs.
• Compliance to GMP, Food Safety, and Food Quality regulations as required by the company, customers, and/or government agencies.
• Float between departments to provide quality coverage as needed.
• Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
• Always willing to help support other teams with open tasks and projects

Pay:

  • QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):
    • At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment actively working with relatable quality control practices.
    • Sense of anticipation to identify future non-conformance issues and sense of urgency to introduce a procedure countermeasure to avoid that possibility.
    • High integrity and fanatical focus on each customer ensuring that any service provided is within their defined requirements.
    • Ability to work both independently and in an active team atmosphere, ensuring that time, projects, and deadline commitments are met.
    • Skilled in risk assessment determination and decision making to reduce or eliminate internal and external customer exposure to product non-conformances.
    • Competent in basic math and measurement skills (such as using a caliper) with experience utilizing visual inspection skills while relying on attention to detail.
    • Must be able to safely operate touch-sensitive, highly automated technical equipment related to the Quality Technician role.
    • Proven capability to read and write in English to accurately understand and interpret customer specification sheets, packaging information, internal work instructions, etc.
    • Maintain a "questioning mindset," by actively listening, learning, and challenging quality process gaps creating future opportunities to improve.
    • Understanding of computer functions and Microsoft office programs (Excel, Word, TEAMS, and Power point)
    • Experience using Apple iPads and Apple based programs preferred.
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and lift/carry up to 30 to 50 pounds.
    • Must be able to use fingers, hands, and arms for regular tasks.
    • Must be able to climb steps, have a good hand-eye coordination, and bend/squat.
    • Must be able to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment.
    • Must be able to operate effectively in temperatures ranging from 60 to 110 F.
    • Must be capable of visually detecting defects, depth, colors, variances, and see objects.
