General Summary:
Qualcomm Multimedia Systems Group is seeking candidates for its camera firmware team in San Diego, CA. The team focused on imaging system design and development for mobile devices at both high and low tiers as well as adjacent market. We are seeking candidates with technical excellence in embedded system development and the creativity and initiative to apply their technical knowledge to exciting new camera technologies.
The selected candidate will have responsibilities in one or more of the following areas:
Embedded low level camera driver design and development, work throughout the firmware life cycle.
End-2-end systems development, prototyping and commercialization of new camera features and technologies.
3-5 years related industry experience is preferred:
  • Strong experience with C/C++ programming is required. Assembly programming, embedded SW experience and understand fixed-point implementation preferred.
  • Experienced with microcontroller architecture, RTOS, and/or ARM architecture. Familiar with Android, JTAG, ADB, version control.
  • Strong background in digital signal processing and digital image processing.
  • Exposure to MISRA, ASIL and Automotive safety processes
  • Experience with developing and implementing image processing algorithms preferred.
  • Quick learner, self-motivated, able to work independently.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$122,500.00 - $183,700.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
