Overview:
Oracle PL/SQL Developer
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, test, and maintain PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
  • Assist in the design and optimization of complex SQL queries for data extraction and reporting.
  • Support ETL workflows using tools like Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Informatica, or custom PL/SQL scripts.
  • Participate in data migration, cleansing, and validation activities across different systems.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot performance issues in Oracle queries and code.
  • Work with business analysts, QA teams, and senior developers to meet data and reporting requirements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to database objects and ETL jobs.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance and security best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Good understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and normalization.
  • Basic knowledge of ETL processes and tools (e.g., ODI, Informatica, Talend, SSIS, etc.).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts is a plus.
  • Proficient in writing, debugging, and optimizing SQL queries.
  • Experience working with large datasets and an understanding of performance tuning.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to Oracle 12c/19c or later versions.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
  • Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting.
  • Understanding of data quality and data integration challenges.
