Overview: Praescient Analytics is actively seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst, to support a contract with the Narcotics and Transnational Crime Support Center (NTC). The NTC is a Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Counternarcotics and Stabilization Policy (DASD CNSP) established and funded operational support activity consisting of DoD civilians, contractors and military service members responsible for providing tailored intelligence and operations support to Law Enforcement (LE) and Inter-Agency (IA) partners conducting complex, multifaceted operations and investigations. The analyst will design, develop, and implement advanced analytic workflows to extract, condition, and visualize data in support of counterdrug, counterterrorism, counter-threat finance, and counter-transnational organized crime missions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Extract, cleanse, normalize, and transform large-scale, multi-source datasets to support analytic and operational requirements.
  • Develop predictive models, data workflows, and automated solutions to streamline network analysis and intelligence production.
  • Utilize advanced analytic and visualization tools (Microsoft Power BI, Power Query, I2 Analyst Notebook, Python) to produce actionable insights and visual products.
  • Integrate and enrich data from classified, law enforcement, commercial, and open-source datasets across multiple classification levels.
  • Support analysts and mission partners by producing tailored visualizations, dashboards, and reports to identify hidden relationships, correlations, and trends within illicit networks.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and knowledge transfer on data analytic tools, workflows, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD intelligence oversight policies and interagency data-sharing protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of specialized experience in data analysis, network analysis, or related analytic functions, including at least 2 of the most recent years focused on data analytics.
  • Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, information systems, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting DoD, law enforcement, or intelligence community (IC) operations, with strong understanding of information sharing requirements, security policies, and analytic production workflows.
  • Demonstrated expertise in:
    • Data extraction, cleansing, normalization, and transformation.
    • Microsoft Power BI and Power Query for data conditioning and visualization.
    • I2 Analyst Notebook for entity-level network analysis and visualization.
    • Python for automation, data modeling, and advanced analytics.
  • Strong background in developing automated workflows, data filters, and analytic tools to improve efficiency.
  • Experience producing dashboards, reports, and visualizations to identify relationships, correlations, and patterns in support of law enforcement and intelligence operations.
Security Clearance Requirement: (Top Secret access) with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI).
  • Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or equivalent certification.
  • Python programming certifications (e.g., PCEP, PCAP).
  • DoD or Intelligence Community tradecraft training certifications.
