Senior Java PL/SQL Developer/AI

Job Summary:
PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Java PL/SQL Developer/AI to provide technical expertise in software and hardware solutions. The role involves mentoring client staff, designing solutions, and ensuring compliance with standards while maintaining and enhancing existing applications.
Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain web pages using Oracle MOD PL/SQL packages
• Maintain the existing applications and enhance the system as per client requirements.
• Extensive Oracle database experience
• Modify existing batches to incorporate new functionalities.
• UNIX Shell scripting
• Analyze system issues and devise and execute remediation plans.
• Perform code reviews and bug fixing.
• Conduct performance tuning of existing queries and packages.
• Comply with all required standards and processes and devise approaches to ensure compliance across the team.
• Provide complete technical and maintenance support to the systems.
• Run the assigned projects solo as well as working as a team.
• Provide round-the-clock support as needed for the assigned tasks.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools for enhanced productivity
Qualifications:
Required:
• 8 plus years of experience in IT
• 8 plus years of PL/SQL development experience
• UNIX, MS Windows Server experience
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, Java (Spring Framework), PL/SQL, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, JSON, SQL Developer, JDeveloper, Shell Scripting, UNIX, and Linux.
• Must have expertise in creating and maintaining complex PL/SQL code/packages spanning multiple schemas.
• Interact directly with the customer on behalf of the team to resolve issues or identify new requirements to be addressed by the team
• Understanding and knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
• Maintains strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations
• Exhibit confidence and knowledge in solving problems
• Work well independently and within a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Works on high-visibility, or mission critical aspects of a given program, and performs all functional duties independently;
• Oversees the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, with 10+ years (or commensurate experience)
• Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
• All candidates must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
• Candidate must have lived in the US for the past 5 years.
• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded.
Preferred:
• Experience deploying python applications in cloud service production environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), potentially leveraging containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience in applying principles like version control (Git), writing clear and testable code, participating in code reviews, and using continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Demonstrated understanding and implementation of data science solutions such as data pipelining, feature engineering, or creation of Machine Learning Models.
• Proficiency using managed AI/ML services provided by cloud platforms to streamline development, deployment, and management of data science applications.
