WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Expeditor is responsible for operating, updating, and modifying MRP systems. They will operate our manufacturing systems to monitor and coordinate the flow of materials, orders, or projects to ensure timely completion. This position requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to identify and resolve potential delays, primarily by closely collaborating with different departments to maintain production schedules. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Regularly monitoring project timelines and production schedules to identify potential bottlenecks or delays.
- Communicating with internal departments and project managers to update them on progress, address issues, and negotiate delivery dates.
- Identifying and resolving issues that could impact project timelines, such as supply chain disruptions, quality control problems, or production delays.
- Actively following up with internal departments to ensure timely delivery and receipt of materials and components.
- Preparing reports on project status, potential risks, and delivery updates for management.
- Monitoring inventory levels of critical floor stock components to avoid production delays.
- Serve as the company SME to provide daily functional support to internal departments.
- Serve as the focal point for Plex infrastructure changes.
- Provide training sessions on the fundamentals of Plex ERP system to Company employees to ensure consistent and accurate information is populated in the system.
ABOUT YOU:
- 3 – 5 years of experience in a manufacturing facility performing planning or expediting duties.
- Excellent communication skills: Ability to clearly communicate with internal departments, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent computer and MRP system understanding, plus for PLEX.
- Strong organizational skills: Efficiently managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Problem-solving abilities: Identifying and resolving issues proactively to maintain project timelines
- Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in tracking progress and reporting
- Negotiation skills: Effectively negotiating with internal departments to secure timely deliveries
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
