Job description

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a team building a modern, cloud-based application. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on backend engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring, and AWS who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Candidates who demonstrate strong technical depth and cloud development experience will be prioritized for interviews.
Must Haves
  • 5+ years of professional experience developing enterprise-level Java applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java and the Spring Framework.
  • Proven experience building and supporting backend services and APIs.
  • Strong working knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, EKS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries and working with Oracle databases.
  • Working knowledge of PL/SQL for database development and optimization.
  • Experience developing scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-based applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

What the Client Needs You to Do
In this role, you will help design, develop, and support a new cloud-native application while contributing to backend architecture and system performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions and help drive best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications using Java and the Spring Framework.
  • Build and enhance cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services and container technologies.
  • Develop scalable RESTful APIs and backend services to support business applications.
  • Write, optimize, and maintain SQL and PL/SQL code for Oracle databases.
  • Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes, Docker, EC2, and Amazon EKS.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to software design and technical best practices.
  • Support application performance, reliability, and ongoing enhancements in production environments.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to development processes and cloud architecture.
