Position Summary  
  
Reporting to the Quality Lead, the QA Technician plays an important role in maintaining the highest standard for Food Safety, Quality and Legality. These functions take place in the Plant and Quality lab areas. 
  
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and can learn and perform basic lab tests using company provided instruments. 
  
Position Responsibilities 
  
•          Performs production record review  
•          Has a commitment to producing quality products 
•          Raises any quality issues or non-conformances to supervision 
•          Receive and release raw materials based on QC testing and document review 
•          Conducts finished goods testing 
•          Conducts HACCP related CCP testing 
•          Conducts Product code verification 
•          Collects samples from the Production lines  
•          Verify daily/weekly sanitation 
•          All assignments require team members to follow company policies and Good Manufacturing Practices to meet customers’ expectations and help maintain a safe and healthy work environment 
•          Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, PPE, and comply with all safety policies and requirements 
•         Perform other duties as assigned 
  
Position Requirements 
  
•         High School diploma or GED. 
•         Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination. 
•         Must have ability to perform tasks in a microbiology and chemistry lab, using chemicals for testing. 
•         Must have knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices. 
•         Must have knowledge of Good Documentation practices. 
•         Must have ability to read, analyze and write reports. 
•         Must have ability to perform basic math calculations. 
•         Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and committed to quality mindset. 
•         Must work well under pressure and be highly responsive to short deadlines. 
•         Must have ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations. 
•         Having 2-3 years in an analytical role in consumer products is a plus. 
•         Having previous food manufacturing experience is required. 
•         Being proficiency with MS programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is a plus. 
•         Be able to work in a light industrial and somewhat warm environment during summer or cool areas during the winter. 
•         This role is performed on site at a facility that regularly processes tree nuts. Employees in this position will routinely work in areas where tree nuts and related allergens are present and may be exposed by contact or in the air.
