Our psychiatrist is a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine specializing in mental health who provides high quality, patient-centered assessment and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders.
A psychiatrist at HOPES functions as an integral part of the multidisciplinary treatment team within the Behavioral Health Department. Psychiatrists conduct biopsychosocial assessments, make diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and conduct medication management. They consult with other behavioral health providers, medical providers, support staff, and paraprofessionals to support HOPES’ whole-person, integrated approach to patient care. They may conduct psychotherapeutic interventions based on interest and agency need.
