The Client Checkout & Address Experience team is seeking a full stack software development engineer with a passion for engineering excellence. We offer you the opportunity to deliver and lead high visibility & high-impact innovation for customers across the Address & Checkout application services in Client. We extend to you the opportunity to develop upon multi-tiered, low-latency, highly resilient distributed systems on a grand scale. You will play a pivotal role in crafting solutions that profoundly enhance the shopping experience, handling vast data volumes, delivering lightning-fast response times, and simplifying the checkout process to a remarkable degree. You must understand the importance of quality and testability in regards to the long term health and operational excellence of the Client eco system and you will be expected to drive improvements to current and future systems in these areas. You will contribute to non-functional aspects of the application in the form of latency, performance, and business investigations. You will learn and grow by working closely with senior engineers across our organisation.

The ideal candidate will have excellent technical design, problem solving, Computer Science fundamentals, and communication skills. The candidate should be comfortable interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels. The ability to work backwards and think from a customer perspective is crucial as the ideal candidate is expected to contribute to the product vision in addition to the technical design and implementation.
Basic qualifications

  • 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one object-oriented software programming language
Preferred qualifications
  • - 7+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • - Experience in leading, designing, building and maintaining real-time, large-scale and distributed applications with high availability.
  • - Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • - Strong understanding of system and application performance characteristics
  • - Excellent communication, sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills
  • - Ability to work in a fast paced and agile development environment
