Job summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Developer to join our Payment team. In this role, you will work closely with experienced software engineers to support, maintain, and enhance our transaction processing systems. Because much of our core functionality relies on our proprietary scripting environment, we value strong programming fundamentals, logical problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn over mastery of any single language.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Developer to join our Payment team. In this role, you will work closely with experienced software engineers to support, maintain, and enhance our transaction processing systems. Your main Challenges:
- Development & Maintenance: Analyze, maintain, and debug existing code within the payment architecture.
- Databases: Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to secure transactions.
- Systems Integration: Ensure seamless communication (JSON/XML) between POS hardware, middleware, and payment processors.
- Analysis & Learning: Troubleshoot transaction issues and master our proprietary framework alongside senior developers.
What You Bring with you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- +5 years of experience in software development.
- Excellent proficiency in programming and scripting (JavaScript).
- Solid understanding of communication protocols (e.g., HTTP, TCP/IP, REST, WebSockets).
- Experience in the payment industry or POS/middleware hardware integration (Asset).
