Job Description
We are looking for experienced Ruby on Rails Developers with Python experience to join our team on a remote contract opportunity. Candidates should have strong software development experience and be comfortable working with Ruby on Rails and/or Python.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using Ruby on Rails and Python.
- Build and integrate REST APIs.
- Work with PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
- Use Git and CI/CD practices for development and deployment.
- Write and maintain unit tests.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and improve application performance.
- Collaborate with technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Be willing to upskill in Ruby on Rails if coming primarily from a Python background.
Required Skills
- 5–10 years of software development experience.
- Strong Ruby on Rails experience or strong working knowledge of Python.
- Experience developing and consuming APIs.
- Strong SQL database experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience with Git and basic CI/CD.
- Unit testing experience.
- Ability and willingness to learn/upskill in Ruby on Rails.
