Job description

The Fitness & Wellness Guest Services Associate is the main point of contact to all entering and inquiring about the JCC. Associate must be able to multitask in a busy environment in a friendly welcoming manner. To provide welcoming friendly service to all guests and members of the JCC in person, and over the phone.

This position is part -time permanent and not seasonal. Hours vary during the week and weekends.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  1. Provide superior customer service to both guests and members of the JCC as a whole.
  2. Maintain records with respect to the JCC such as appointment changes, cancellations, Fitness sales, and prospective members.
  3. Main switchboard operator for the JCC and all Federation agencies. Must maintain friendly demeanor and maintain awareness of all activities occurring on campus.
  4. Provide accurate information on various fitness programs and specialty programs to inquiring community members and be able to close the sale.
  5. Greet and maintain ongoing communication with all members for the JCC engaging in regular communication in a friendly outgoing manner.
  6. Assist with monitoring the JCC Spas such as desk coverage, water testing of whirlpools, amenity refills, water station refills and other duties assigned as necessary.
  7. Answer the phone and accurately transfer calls or take detailed messages.
  8. Welcome and assist members/visitors with appointments located throughout the facility and direct visitors, as necessary.
  9. Learn and become fluent with our Guest Services software – Daxko Operations, MindBody Business, Group Ex Pro and Daxko Engage.
  10. Sell and complete transactions in Daxko or MindBody.
  11. Ability to work with Microsoft Office for email access, scheduling and data entry.
  12. Assist with specialty sales, events, and open houses as scheduled.
  13. Report unclean conditions, safety hazards and malfunctioning equipment to Mgmt. and Sodexo Mgmt.
  14. Assist in the promotion of agency wide programs to ensure the productive, effective and efficient operation of the Agency.
  15. Consistently review all happenings of the JCC so that you can share important information with our Control Desk Staff.
  16. Additional responsibilities may be added periodically based upon the needs of the Fitness and Wellness Department and of the Katz JCC.
  17. It is essential that all staff participate in a variety of agency wide activities. Staff should be knowledgeable about our agency and be able to respond appropriately with accurate information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Friendly outgoing personality.
  2. Proven customer service (communication) skills.
  3. First Aid and CPR / AED certifications preferred.
  4. Ability to work well with others toward common goal.
  5. Computer skills in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams.
  6. Ability to work in multiple computer programs -Daxko.
