Job Description

The co-op/intern will assist the Operations Engineering Team with creating clear and detailed procedure documents for usage by production technicians, helping engineers with identifying the root-cause of an issue while also being able to develop robust solutions to prevent recurrence. Assist engineers with identifying inefficiencies in production processes and be able to propose & implement solutions that will lead to improvements.  Available blocks include the spring and/or summer semesters.

Qualifications

The position will report into and support the assigned Operations Engineering Team. The intern position will be working collaboratively with Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering and Quality Engineering,

In this role the main responsibilities will be: 

  • Work with Cross Functional Teams to help solve production engineering issues.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and failure isolation. 
  • Implement and update manufacturing process documents.
  • Assist with returning failed products to suppliers through our RTV process.
  • Participate in data collection failure analysis studies.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering/Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering

Additional Information

For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $18 and $26 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
