Data Analyst Associate

We are seeking a Data Analyst Associate who will play a key role in driving business outcomes through AI and Power BI. This role blends traditional analytics and reporting with emerging AI capabilities, focusing on enabling smarter decision-making, improving productivity, and embedding AI-driven insights into everyday business workflows.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with business stakeholders, can quickly develop a deep understanding of data, and is excited about applying Power BI, Copilot, and other AI tools in practical, measurable ways.

This position is on site at our office in Fishers, IN 5 days/week.

Copilot & AI Enablement

  • Partner with leadership on the intake and prioritization of AI use cases with business teams by defining the problem, desired outcome, and success measures
  • Configure, test, and refine Copilot experiences using enterprise data (e.g., Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Power BI, and approved data sources)
  • Contribute to prompt refinement and validate AI outputs for business accuracy and compliance with governance requirements
  • Track outcomes and report the impact of Copilot solutions (e.g., time saved, cycle-time reduction, improved insight quality)

Data Analysis & Business Intelligence

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that deliver actionable insights
  • Develop and maintain Microsoft Fabric data pipelines under the guidance of data engineers, and contribute to notebook development for routine analyses
  • Translate business questions into analytical solutions using data modeling, DAX, and visual storytelling
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that support strategic goals
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across reporting assets

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Align stakeholders on requirements, definitions (KPIs/metrics), and delivery timelines for analytics and Copilot-enabled solutions
  • Communicate insights and recommended actions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, tailoring the message to the stakeholder
  • Drive adoption by enabling users through quick guides, office hours, and feedback loops to improve dashboard and Copilot experience usability

Data Practices & Governance

  • Partner with data engineers/platform teams to resolve data quality issues and improve model readiness for reporting and Copilot scenarios
  • Apply governance, security, and compliance requirements by validating data access, sensitivity, and approved sources before releasing BI or Copilot solutions
  • Maintain technical documentation (data definitions, report logic, and runbooks) so solutions can be supported and reused
  • Share observations and improvement suggestions with the data governance team to inform policies and standards

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence, or Analytics role
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard design
  • Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational data sources
  • Understanding of analytics concepts such as KPIs, metrics, and data visualization best practices
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to deliver insights and solutions
  • Strong communication skills (ability to translate complex concepts for non-technical audiences)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field strongly preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, or AI-enabled analytics tools
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and OneLake
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering or working with generative AI in a business context
  • Python or other scripting experience for data analysis or automation
  • Familiarity with configuring Copilot plugins or custom connectors with guidance
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and responsible AI practices
  • Experience measuring adoption and ROI for analytics or AI initiatives
