Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Job Summary
Clients often come to therapy looking for clarity, support, and practical ways to manage what they are facing. As a remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your role is to provide that support through structured telehealth sessions, thoughtful treatment planning, and steady clinical guidance.
You will work with clients through scheduled virtual sessions, helping them understand patterns, manage symptoms, strengthen coping skills, and move toward healthier functioning. This role is designed for an LMHC who can balance strong clinical judgment with clear communication and reliable documentation.
Location: Ocala, FL
Work Setting: Remote / Telehealth
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $115,000-$120,000 per year with full benefits
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Responsibilities
  • Provide telehealth counseling sessions to clients in need of mental health support
  • Complete clinical intake assessments and risk screenings as needed
  • Build treatment plans that reflect client concerns and measurable goals
  • Provide counseling for issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, stress, relationship strain, and major life changes
  • Document sessions, updates, and treatment progress in the clinical record
  • Identify when clients may need a higher level of care or additional resources
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
  • Use sound clinical judgment during remote sessions

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or a closely related field
  • Active Florida LMHC license in good standing
  • Previous experience providing individual counseling or psychotherapy
  • Comfortable providing therapy through telehealth
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a full-time remote caseload responsibly
  • Reliable internet connection and a private workspace for client sessions
