Job Summary/Description:

Do you have a great eye for the perfect shot and the hustle to be the first one on the scene? We’re looking for a News Photojournalist who doesn't just "record" news, you capture the moments that define it. In a city as fast-paced as Phoenix, we need someone who thrives on the adrenaline of breaking news and the art of visual storytelling.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Excellent videography and editing skills.
• Strong understanding of non-linear editing.
• Familiarity with various transmission methods preferred – microwave live trucks, LiveU backpacks (or similar technology), etc.
• Must be able to work accurately in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while consistently meeting deadlines.
• Must be able to work in various (sometimes extreme) outdoor climates.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism/Production, Communications, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Two years’ experience working as a news photojournalist with broadcast-level equipment in a television news environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift and carry all necessary gear (40-100 pounds).
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company policies (will be verified as a condition of employment and checked regularly throughout employment).
• Must possess an understanding of current journalism standards.
• Strong technical and organizational skills.
