Job description
Responsibilities:
Support the planning, design, and delivery of structural engineering projects for commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential buildings.
Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
Prepare structural calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and related documentation.
Coordinate structural designs with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines.
Participate in project meetings and collaborate with senior engineers and project managers.
Support construction administration activities, including shop drawing review, RFIs, and field observations.
Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, standards, and project requirements.
Contribute to maintaining high-quality project delivery and client satisfaction.
Engage in mentorship and professional development opportunities, progressively taking on greater project responsibility.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree a plus)
5 years of structural engineering experience in a consulting environment
PE license in NJ
Working knowledge of building codes and structural analysis/design software
Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment

Compensation
The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education and skill set.
