Job Summary:
ECOM is a company in the energy midstream sector, and they are seeking Java Developers to build a new platform. The role involves designing and developing complex software projects, working in an Agile environment, and collaborating with team members to provide technical feedback and mentoring.
Responsibilities:
• Design and Development of complex software projects.
• Build solutions in an agile workflow.
• Scaling software as use of your application grows.
• Review code of other team members and provide technical feedback and/or other mentoring duties.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends
• Look for ways to implement new ideas to continually improve your projects.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Java - Exception Handling, Collections Framework, Lambdas, Comparators, concurrency
• Spring – Dependency Injection, JPA, Transactions
• Microservices – build scalable web services, Spring Boot, Restful APIs, Security(Oauth)
• Databases – Experience in writing sql queries, Exposure to nosql db (Cassandra) is a positive, CAP theorem
• Experienced building out solutions using workflow tools like Activiti, JMS provider like ActiveMQ.
• Testing – Unit Testing, Mocking, Junits, TDD, Cucumber, Gherkin
• Design and Problem Solving
• Devops – Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD Pipelines
• Agile ways of working / SAFE/Scrum methodology understanding
• Team work – be able to work collaboratively
• General – Should be able to do technical design and development with no/minimal oversight
• Cloud – AWS/Azure (AWS preferred but at least one)
• Project and dependency management with tools like Maven or Gradle.
• Commitment to understanding the business domain.
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
• Team player with very good communication skills.
• Self-motivated professional who demonstrates strong technical agility and responsiveness and who is eager to learn and grow within a consulting-like Technology Services organization.

• NoSQL is nice to have but not necessary
• Energy Industry would be a plus but not a must have
• Testing – BDD (Nice to have)
• Experienced with Web Development using JavaScript Frameworks / Libraries.(Nice to have)
