Job description

DirectShifts is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team in providing critical care to patients in the fast-paced environment of Atlanta, GA emergency rooms.

Job Description:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of acute and life-threatening conditions.
  • Provide immediate medical attention to patients experiencing trauma, heart attacks, strokes, respiratory distress, and other emergencies.
  • Perform rapid assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate treatment plans.
  • Stabilize critically ill patients and manage their care until they can be transferred to appropriate specialists or admitted to the hospital.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, paramedics, and other physicians, to deliver efficient and effective care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
  • Remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in emergency medicine through ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
  • Valid medical license in Georgia State
  • Extensive experience in emergency medicine or a related field
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-stress and rapidly changing environment
