JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Psychiatrist at our DeKalb Regional Crisis Center will support adult individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis or requiring withdrawal management. This role is pivotal in supervising a team of advanced practice nurses within an interdisciplinary team across three levels of care in the Behavioral Health Crisis Center: a Crisis Service Center for triage and evaluation, a Temporary Observation Unit, and a Crisis Stabilization Unit. The Lead Psychiatrist ensures the medical team delivers evidence-based practices to provide optimal patient care. Additionally, the Lead Psychiatrist evaluates and diagnoses patients, prescribes medications, conducts psychiatric assessments, and offers ongoing care to facilitate effective crisis resolution.
