CDL Driver/Operator

Position Summary: This is much more than just a driving position. The Field Operator/Driver shall rig-up and rig-down the proprietary Conco Services high-pressure water cleaning equipment. This position is also responsible for maintaining a CDL driver's license for transporting equipment as required. During the industrial cleaning operation, the Field Operator shall operate the specialized equipment such as twisters, various high-pressure pumps, feeders, lancers, etc. following Conco's SOP, the site safety plan, and work procedures in Petro-Chemical Refineries, Power Plants, and Mills throughout the Northeast.
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare cleaning equipment for work.
- Properly loading and unloading of equipment, as needed.
- Prepare the work site for operation.
- Hands-on operation of industrial cleaning equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Perform safe and quality work performance to client's satisfaction.
- Professionally represent Conco Services LLC at all times.
- Wear personal protective gear at all times at work.
- Ensure that all required badging/credentials are available to enter the work sites.
- Follow strictly the OSHA, MSHA, Customer work site, and Conco regulations and rules as requested during work hours.
- Performs other duties and services as assigned by supervision to ensure successful projects are delivered.
- Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a truck driver (experience with tractor-trailer, flatbed).
- Hands-on experience with HOS, electronic logging devices (GPS, AVL units).
- Ability to periodically drive OTR and/or on weekends as the need arises.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable FMCSA driving rules and regulations.
- No recent moving or driving violations.
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.).
- Valid Class A or B license.
- Must be proficient with an 18-speed manual transmission.
- Clean driving record (no suspensions, DUI); pass drug screening/background check/DOT physical.
Qualification/Requirements:
- Minimum 1-year previous DOT Driving Experience/ Desired 2+ DOT Driving Experience
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and customer relations skills.
- Able to work in an outside environment exposed to heat and cold.
- Variable work schedule including days and nights.
- Ability to work independently.
- Working in a refinery/plant environment.
- Listening and understanding instructions.
- Acknowledgement and compliance of Safety plans/rules and their importance.
