6-Month Contract | Remote | $100–$120/hour | ASAP Start We're supporting a fast-growing FinTech organisation delivering a large-scale migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . We're seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the design and governance of a secure, scalable cloud platform as part of a critical transformation programme. This role will sit at the centre of the migration initiative, providing architectural leadership across infrastructure, applications, security, and DevOps practices.
What You'll Be Doing Define and own the target-state cloud architecture on GCP Lead architecture design for cloud and application migrations Establish scalable, secure, and resilient platform patterns Design Infrastructure as Code frameworks using Terraform Collaborate with engineering, security, and delivery teams Ensure governance, compliance, and cloud best practices are embedded Act as the technical escalation point for complex cloud challenges Required Experience Proven track record delivering cloud migration or platform modernisation programmes Deep understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security architecture Experience designing Kubernetes / GKE-based platforms Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) Ability to balance strategic design with hands‐on technical validation Experience operating in regulated or high‐availability environments Nice to Have Experience in FinTech or regulated industries CI/CD strategy and DevOps operating model design Cloud cost optimisation and FinOps exposure Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect) Rate: $100–$120 USD per hour (DOE) Duration: 6 months (strong likelihood of extension) #J-18808-Ljbffr
