Job description

This is a leadership position that guides and directs the work of other security guards. The Lead Security Guard is a key point of contact for incidents and emergencies, coordinating responses and deploying resources to ensure timely and effective action. The role also involves maintaining detailed records and fostering a strong working relationship with external law enforcement and emergency services.

Company:Cherokee Nation Entertainment

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and at least 3 years of security or law enforcement experience.
  • State of Oklahoma Council of Law Enforcement, Education, and Training (CLEET) armed security guard license is required.
  • A Cherokee Nation Armed Security Officer license is required.
  • Working knowledge of firearms, defensive tactics, and surveillance video systems.
  • Ability to pass a CNE security-approved custody control and weapons training.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a license from the appropriate gaming authority.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. 
  • Responds to incidents and performs CPR and first aid procedures as needed.
  • Prevents guests from entering premises with prohibited items.
  • Coordinates with other departments to provide security resources and ensures adequate coverage.
  • Deploys resources to ensure timely responses to all calls and required follow-ups.
  • Coordinates and responds calmly and quickly in emergencies.
  • Maintains a working relationship with local law enforcement, fire, and safety departments.
  • Creates and maintains detailed written reports of incidents and reviews and edits reports completed by other personnel.
  • Assists in managing employee key access and runs relevant reports.
  • Ensures compliance with age requirements and policies by checking guest identification.
