CSL Technology Solutions is hiring an Electrician Lead Field Technician for year-round commercial and industrial field work.

This is a hands-on lead role for an experienced electrical field professional who can support installation, troubleshooting, upgrades, repairs, jobsite coordination, and field team guidance.

This role includes paid travel time, paid drive time, overtime, company-paid hotels, per diem, and company vehicles for travel.

About the Role

CSL Technology Solutions is growing and expanding into new business areas. We are hiring an Electrician Lead Field Technician to help lead and support electrical installation, troubleshooting, upgrades, repairs, and field projects.

This is a hands-on field position with added responsibility for helping guide field technicians, coordinate jobsite tasks, communicate project needs, and support safe, efficient project completion.

This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys electrical work, problem-solving, travel, mentoring others, and working on a variety of commercial and industrial projects.

Schedule and Travel

This is a field-based role with regular travel.

  • Monday through Friday travel schedule most weeks
  • Weekly travel in Ohio and surrounding states
  • Day, evening, and overnight shifts are required based on project needs
  • Indoor and outdoor work
  • Year-round work

When working off-shift projects, daily hours may be 10 to 12 hours. This helps complete some projects in four days instead of five, so Field Technicians occasionally have Fridays off.

What You Will Do

You will help lead and perform electrical installation, troubleshooting, upgrades, and repairs in commercial and industrial environments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and support field technicians on assigned jobsites
  • Help coordinate daily field tasks, work flow, materials, and job progress
  • Install, troubleshoot, upgrade, and repair electrical equipment, lighting, circuitry, and building electrical systems
  • Maintain and repair indoor and outdoor electrical systems
  • Assist with layout and installation of wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local code
  • Bend conduit, install conduit, pipes, or tubing, and pull wire or cable
  • Install and troubleshoot panels, junction boxes, transformers, ballasts, and control systems
  • Inspect and test lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits
  • Work safely from bucket trucks, scissor lifts, boom lifts, ladders, scaffolds, and rooftops
  • Complete trenching, concrete work, and other tasks as required to complete the job
  • Review jobsite conditions and communicate safety concerns
  • Help ensure work is completed safely, correctly, and efficiently
  • Communicate job progress, material needs, project issues, and schedule concerns to project managers and team members
  • Help train, guide, and support less experienced field technicians
  • Represent CSL professionally with customers, contractors, vendors, and team members

Required Qualifications
  • 4 or more years of hands-on electrical, commercial electrical, maintenance, or field service experience
  • Prior experience leading, training, or guiding other field team members
  • Valid Ohio or U.S. driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain DOT certification
  • Ability to work from blueprints, schematics, job instructions, or work orders
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, safe work practices, and NEC guidelines
  • Proficient experience using test meters and other diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Ability to perform physically active work, including bending, lifting, climbing, digging, and pulling wire
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons
  • Ability to travel out of town with overnights, including weekly travel most weeks
  • Ability to work a flex schedule with first, second, or third shifts as required by projects
  • Strong communication skills
  • Dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented work style

Preferred Qualifications
  • Commercial or industrial electrical field experience
  • Experience in a lead, foreman, or senior technician role
  • Experience with high-voltage, medium-voltage, and low-voltage systems
  • Experience with lighting systems, control systems, panels, junction boxes, and conduit installation
  • Experience operating or working safely from bucket trucks, lifts, ladders, scaffolds, or rooftops
  • Experience reading blueprints or electrical schematics
  • Experience planning materials, tools, and daily jobsite tasks
  • DOT certification
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
